Boozy Vegetarian Brunch at URBN Culture

We may have found our new favourite brunch spot in Taipei. Boozy patio brunches are hard to come by in this city, making URBN Culture a standout for weekend indulgences. What’s better than patio cocktails and delicious food on a Saturday morning?

Located near Liuzhangli station in Da’an, this edgy restaurant is beautifully decorated and has craft beer on tap. We didn’t even realize the food was vegetarian until we were halfway through the menu — everything looked so good! The vibe was cool, our dishes were tasty, and the drinks had us buzzing before noon.

You can’t miss URBN Culture thanks to its bright graffiti wall and relatively large patio.

The hip bar is fully equipped, with a variety of Taiwanese craft beers on tap.

Check out the this colourful graffiti wall at the back of the restaurant.

The brick walls create an edgy, industrial atmosphere.

The pineapple mojito (NT$250) was nicely balanced, not too sweet and stronger than it tasted. The Taihu Lab Crush Pale Ale (NT$200) was smooth and hoppy.

The Minty Orange Limoncello (NT$220) was another great cocktail that was strong and nicely balanced.

The Spanish Egg Frittata (NT$330) was baked with potatoes, eggplant, onion, tomatoes, cilantro, zucchini, and cheese. It was a solid frittata but didn’t leave as much of an impression as the other dishes.

The Goat Cheese Eggplant sandwich (NT$310) was incredibly gooey and full of flavour thanks to the olive tapenade. The accompanying fries were crispy and addicting.

The Almond French Toast Breakfast (NT$320) was light and fluffy, topped with a sweet mixed berry compote. Both sides of scrambled eggs and sweet potato wedges impressed us.

What’s the vibe?

Artsy, edgy, and industrial, with an upbeat atmosphere thanks to its beer taps and strong cocktails. Did we mention there’s a patio?

Worth it?

Yes!

Everything we tried was great. The food was delicious, the drinks were balanced nicely, and the atmosphere was cool. It’s hard to find a brunch restaurant in Taipei that ticks so many boxes.

Would you go back?

Definitely.

Even though it’s a bit of a trek for us, it’s worth making the trip for patio drinks at brunch!
