Looking for a spirited night after a long week but don’t want to spend a fortune? Then head to Revolver, an alternative bar near C.K.S. Memorial Hall station that’s packed with foreigners on weekends.
On Friday and Saturday nights the crowds usually spill out onto the sidewalk and outdoor seating area. You might need to push your way through to get to the bar, but the attentive staff will make sure you have a drink in your hands in no time.
While the main bar on the ground level is mostly for socializing, there’s a live stage and dance floor upstairs that hosts underground acts catering to the alternative music scene.
One of Revolver’s main attractions is its affordable drinks, which rival some of the cheapest in the city.
You’ll pay just NT$80 for draft Taiwan Beer and highballs during weeknight Happy Hour from 6:30 – 9:30 pm. There are also plenty of other local and imported options that appeal to a range of tastes.

Revolver is mostly filled with foreigners ranging from students to English teachers to professionals, but it’s also frequented by a fair share of locals. As the night stretches on and the drinks keep pouring, the volume continues to rise.
