Coffee Naps: Chill Cafe, Perfect for Doing Work In

Coffee Naps is a relaxed cafe near Da’an Park that’s a nice spot to work or enjoy a casual coffee with friends. It has a leafy, European atmosphere that’s pleasing to the eye but doesn’t look overdone. We killed an entire afternoon here one Saturday after realizing how calm and quiet it was, making full use of their free WiFi and comfortable surroundings. As the cherry on top of the cake, Coffee Naps has no time limit, so you’re totally welcome to plug in and get in the zone for however long you need.

The first drink we ordered was Dutch ice drip coffee ($190), which was served in this neat skull glass and a bottle with a cork stopper. It was flavourful and refreshing.

Next, we ordered the iced latte with Baileys (also $190). It was creamy and slightly sweet, but not overly so. It was a nice drink to sip away on.

We’ve heard good things about the desserts at Coffee Naps, which are displayed in a glass case at the back. We were able to resist since we were heading out to dinner at nearby Antico Forno, but will most likely cave the next time we visit. They also have a food menu that includes Mediterranean and Japanese dishes.

Overall, we really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and nice drinks at Coffee Naps. It’s perfect for anyone who’s looking for a calm, quiet place to read or do some work without being interrupted. The coffee isn’t exactly cheap, but when you factor in the fact that you’re paying for a space to hunker down in, this seems completely reasonable. The staff were friendly, the WiFi was good, and we were big fans of the aesthetic.

What’s the vibe?

Super chill cafe near Da’an Park. People were either working, studying, or talking in low volumes.

Worth it?

If you’re looking for a quiet spot to park yourself for a few hours, then absolutely. If you’re looking for more of an upbeat atmosphere, maybe try somewhere else.

Would you go back?

Yes! It’s nice to sit and work in a cafe without feeling guilty for taking up space. We’re also big fans of the relaxed atmosphere at C-Tea Loft near Taipower Building, but it’s nice to add another spot to the list.
